Apia Hydro Upper 90S

Overall length: 90mm
Weight: 16g
Type: Sinking
Action: Variable tight roll action
Hooks: #6 x 2pcs
Unlike previous lipped sinking pencils, this floating lure has a different concept,
making it ideal for targeting shallow ranges and surface-feeding baitfish.
The lip, originally designed to make the lure dive, is positioned at the opposite angle, so when retrieved, it deflects water downwards while simultaneously pushing the body to the surface. This sinking pencil lure, the "HYDRO UPPER90S," was born from the ingenuity of pro staff member RED Nakamura, who excels at shallow water fishing. Unlike the action of wakebaits, which are a quintessential surface lure, its understated, bait-like swimming action and silhouette make it suitable for surface bait patterns that can sometimes be selective, such as juvenile mullet and halfbeak. Due to its characteristic of "rising when retrieved," it is possible to give it a weight of 16g despite its 90mm size, and it also boasts excellent casting distance. It is effective not only in tidal flats and shallow brackish lakes, but also in open ocean fields such as surf and rocky shores, targeting small baitfish.
